Description
Margaret and Catherine Window
Deremble-Manhes no. 16, Delaporte window no. 26
Panel 3: Margaret conquers a dragon
Margaret (haloed) stands in the center of the panel holding a small cross and facing the viewer. On the ground behind her is a dragon with a huge red head and feathered wings. Margaret wears a red dress and a conspicuous white belt, possibly reminiscent of the rolls containing her life that were used as belts for women in labour. To the right stands an angel (haloed). Delaporte notes that the restored head of the angel follows the original contour.
