Description
A view of the nearly complete Masonic Temple. The Masonic Temple, a nine-story building built between 1914-1915, is constructed out of limestone. Lodge 45 of the Freemasons held their first meeting here on February 26, 1915. The Masonic Temple was purchased in 1993 by the University of Pittsburgh and renamed Alumni Hall in February 2002. After completing a 16 million dollar renovation, it became home to the undergraduate Office of Admissions, the Center for Instructional Development and Distance Education and the Pitt Alumni Association.
