Description
The South Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh featuring the 42-story Cathedral of Learning (right background), the tallest English and French Gothic styled building and second-tallest education building in the world. The building, designed by architect Charles Zeller Klauder, houses a massive Commons Room and numerous Nationality Rooms. In the left center are the light fixtures for Forbes Field (behind the houses), home of the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1909 until 1970.
