Description
This print is cropped from a larger scene. The original negative shows the tug of war occurring on a small stage located in a gymnasium. Large curtains frame the stage and crepe paper streamers descend from the ceiling. A large audience seated at tables with drinks and food appears in the foreground. The performance, documented in other Harris images, also included a fencing demonstration and a ball game.
