The Flamingo Club was located at 2407-2409 Wylie Avenue and featured live entertainment on its upper level during the 1940s and 1950s. It was owned by black entrepreneur Irvin Johnson. The singer might be identified with Letitia Goode, listed in the city directory at 5637 Mignonette Street in 1941. Dressed in a strapless black dress, she sings into a standing microphone in the foreground. A bass and piano player play in the background. A large flower arrangement and a chair covered with sheet music also appear.
