Description
An early model of the Ferris Wheel built by George Ferris, taken in an unknown location. The first Ferris Wheel was designed by George W. Ferris, a bridge-builder from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He built it for the 1893 World's Fair held in Chicago to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus's landing in America.
